A Voice

A Voice

     The idea for this song has been on my heart for a long time, sometimes the writing of a song takes sometime to come to fruition.  I think, read, study (esp. the Word of God), pray, think some more, walk the circle from my office, to the foyer, to the kitchen/ dining room, living room and back again.  “A Voice” is about the unborn children. Upon conception there is new life created in the womb, a life that was not previously there before. NIV Ecclesiastes 11:5 As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things.
I spent a bit of time looking at photos and the like from the Roe vs. Wade case era. One of the things that stood out to was the sense of victory, the sense of triumph over the decriminalizing of abortion. The sun warmed faces, hands raised in victory; but who won that day?
“A Voice”; gives voice to the unborn babies, what they might say, if one was to listen… If they were given a chance to breathe, to look into the eyes, hold a hand, hug a face…
